Some details about venues
Brisbane West
Ashgrove (Sat) Corbie Street Park, cnr Raleigh Parade and Ferneydell Street, Ashgrove. Most venues are in shade. Venues are at schools, scout grounds, church grounds, parks. We try to keep venues in small areas to as not intimidate your child. You are welcome to come to the venues, so we try and have a spot where there is shade and a spot where you can sit. If not bring your blanket and a cup of coffee, and chat with friends you will meet.
Chapel Hill (Fri) Chapel Hill State School at the Iron Bark Road entrance. we are under shade in the main oval. Parents sit under a metal seating structure. Really nice venue.
Keperra (Thu) Keperra Baptist Church off Samford Road. There is plenty of parking, but bring a blanket so sit on. Plenty of shade.
Paddington (Tue) Woolcock Park, Hawthorne Terrace near the Broncos Leagues club. This is a beautiful venue with plenty of shade and a play area for other kids to have fun while waiting for their lessons.
St John's Wood (Mon) St John's Wood Scout Grounds. This venue has great shade and plenty of parking with seating for parents. Moms and Dads bring blankets and have coffee and a chat for the 30 minutes. This venue is difficult to find so have a look at the Google Map link on this page.
The Gap (Wed) Payne Road State School, go down Kernel Street, off Payne Road, to the end at the drop and go, only 9 parking bays, there is a large after school program. We are in the small area near the cricket nets. brings your blanket or a fold out chair. Really nice area.
